Missing Cat

I am writing to various organisations in the Bilborough and Wollaton area to remind them that my cat Bramble is still missing. I have had three independent ‘sightings’ of him over the past week or so in the area around Harrison’s Plantation, including one today from Torvill Drive close to the junction with Old Coach Road where it passes over the railway line and another on Grantleigh Close, which crosses Old Coach Road a little further south.
If this is my cat, he may be hanging around Old Coach Road on either side of the railway line, so please keep a lookout for him. He may also be living in Harrison’s Plantation and visiting the area around Martins Pond. He will not go near Glaisdale Drive or Wollaton Road as he is terrified of traffic, although he is used to using the railway embankment as a thoroughfare.
I am attaching some photos of him. He is large (about 34″ long) with a bib but no white on his face. If you see him, please contact me at any time on 0115 928 2896, my neighbour Mae on 0115 928 6385 or my cousin Lynn on 0115 989 0243. Lynn can arrange for you to send a photo to her mobile or by email. If he looks unwell, please do not hesitate to contact the RSPCA. He is listed with them locally as missing and his reference no. is 2193. He is a patient with Ambivet on Lambourne Drive and is microchipped. The Vet on Glaisdale also has a poster about him.
Please feel free to forward this message to friends in the area, especially the block described by Lambourne Drive/Torvill Drive and Russell Drive as if Bramble is still with us, this is likely to be one of the places that he would go, the other possibly being Balloon Woods (where I have investigated some sightings of lookalike cats recently).

If you spot the cat please contact the owner or her other contacts above.

Sad to say that our resident thief has struck again.  In recent weeks there have been a number of thefts such as tools going missing from garden sheds.  In the last week however one of our gardeners has had all of the fruit stripped from his Conference Pear tree.  Fruit is this gardeners specialty and to have someone come in and take his stuff just as he was about to harvest it himself is utterly despicable.  It is certain that this is an internal theft. When the offender is traced he or she will be immediately thrown off the allotments and their name submitted first to the Police and secondly to the city council and every other allotment association in the county to ensure that they never get another plot anywhere else.  If anyone has any idea who may be responsible please let a member of the committee know either anonymously or directly.  It is completely unacceptable for anyone to enter anyone elses allotment, whether it is occupied or not without the permission of the tenant or one of the three main committee officers.  We remind you that removal of anything from anywhere without permission is a direct breach of the tenancy agreement.

Large (34”) fluffy tabby-and-white male cat missing from Burnwood Drive. Note that he has no white on his face. He often visits Denholme Road but is frightened of traffic so unlikely to have crossed Glaisdale Drive. He has not been seen since 10th June (on Belmore Gardens) so I am widening the search.  If you live or work in Bilborough or Wollaton, please look out for him and check your outbuildings. If you see him, please call Zoë (owner) on 928 2896 AT ANY TIME, Mae on 928 6385 or Lynn (24 hours) on 989 0243. He is very shy so please don’t approach
